A trader in Kluang, Johor, was detained by the Malaysian Anti_Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly offering a bribe to an enforcement assistant of the Kluang Municipal Council (MPK) as an inducement not to take action against him for defying the movement control order (MCO).

The 36-year-old communication-equipment seller was detained at the Kluang MACC office on Monday (April 20) at around 2 pm to assists in an investigation into a bribery claim amounting to RM500.
